3 weeks to go, pannier time to get organised…

…. especially now that the final assignments for my Masters in TESOL have been handed in!

One part of the kit I have bought in the last couple of weeks is saddle bags.  I went with a pair of Deuter’s, 48L.  They fit quite nicely and have been great for shopping and the work commute.  48 litres seems a bit of a stretch, they feel quite small but with the aim being to pack as light as possible they will do just the job.

Sam decided that my GPS running watch wasn’t going to cut it for such a big trip and very kindly gave me an Edge 510  Much the same as the Forerunner but with a superior battery life (meaning it will also be good for those overnight hikes where the watch’s battery fades by about the end of the second day).
